Where should you begin when you are starting a new venture? The first thing you need to do is ask yourself "the" most important question. What is the most important question? The most important question is, "What is most important in your life?" You need to know what is most important in your life so you can build a business that can support what is most important to you. This is where you need to start.


What might be most important to you in life? Family, this may include wife, husband, children grandchildren. This may also include extended family. Close friends might be another important area in your life. Your peace of mind and living a stress-free life might also be very important. Your health may be very important. If you are a person of faith, your faith may be important. Helping others maybe very important. Giving to others is its own reward.  

How might your business support what is most important. Time is something you cannot get back once it is gone. Usually what happens is most people prioritize their ambition over what is most important to them. When you are creating your business, decide how many days you want to work a week and how many hours you want to work a day. The time you spend working will be determined on the amount of time you need for what is most important to you in life. You want your business to support your life. How much money do you need will not only be determined by your monthly expenses, but also what it will take to support what is most important to you in life. Ex. If family is important, you don't want to work fourteen hours a day six or seven days a week. Your business needs to support what is most important to you in life.
